I am called Yelling Pig because I live in a village called Yelling and we (sometimes) keep pigs. My husband, parents, son and I have a smallholding with sheep, goats and chickens. Until recently I had a day job as a part time primary school teacher, as well as teaching sewing at Backstich and privately. As a school teacher I have always loved passing on skills and seeing people learn something new, and I am now delighted to be able to combine my skills, passions and hobbies.
I am available to teach one to one or private group sessions covering any aspect of sewing, spinning or weaving. Times can be organised at mutual convenience, weekdays or weekends. You can come to me or I can travel to you. I have equipment, such as sewing machines and spinning wheels available or you can use your own.
As you will have gathered I make and teach because I love it, and your support, attending classes and buying my products allows me to indulge this creative side. Every like and comment thrills me and spurs me on. If you have seen me at craft fairs you will know that my Mum joins me with her fantastic crochet and knitting. She's not very confident, so every word of encouragement is pure surprise and delight to her.
